Danny Maciocia started his CFL coaching career as an assistant coach with Montreal from 1997 to 2001. From there, Maciocia went to Edmonton where he worked his way up the Eskimo management ladder. Maciocia started as an assistant coach in 2002 and held that position for three years before moving up to become the team's head coach for four seasons from 2005 to 2008. Maciocia then moved up one more step to becmoe the Edmonton GM for two seasons (2009-10). After being released by the Eskimos, Maciocia took over as the head coach at the Universityh of Montreal.
