TORONTO 21, Saskatchewan 10 (26281) - The Roughriders not only lost the opener but QB Nealon Greene with a broken leg. Argos Bashir Levingston ran back Paul McCallum's missed FG 105 yards for the game's first TD.
THURSDAY JUNE 17
Ottawa 37, WINNIPEG 25 (22059) - Ottawa snapped a 13-13 third-quarter tie with two TDs in 80 seconds. Ottawa ended a 14-year drought at Winnipeg, which was denied a franchise-record fourth straight season-opening win.

Hamilton 38, BRIT COLUMBIA 36 (20950) - Hamilton QB Danny McManus threw for 471 yards and connected on four TD passes as the Ti-Cats matched their 2003 win total. D.J. Flick caught 72- and 75-yard touchdowns.

MONTREAL 33, Edmonton 9 (20202) - Rush end Anwar Stewart and LB Kevin Johnson scored on turnovers in the first quarter as the Alouettes won its season opening game for an eighth consecutive year.

OTTAWA 20, Toronto 10 (20241) - The Renegades took advantage of an undisciplined Toronto team which took 21 penalties for 192 yards, snuffing its own drives, as Ottawa improved to 2-0 for the first time.

HAMILTON 32, Winnipeg 22 (25712) - Danny McManus threw three TD passes and a career-high 525 yards for Hamilton. He connected with Craig Yeast for two touchdowns in the first half.

Brit Columbia 41, EDMONTON 34 (35367) - The defending CFL champions dropped to 0-2 for the first time in four years after a shootout loss to the Lions in which the teams combined for 1,127 yards of total offence.

FRIDAY JULY 2
SASKATCHEWAN 42, Brit Col 29 (21605) - Henry Burris completed 25 of 36 passes for 338 yards and four TDs in his first CFL start since 2000. Burris' four TDs was the most for a Rider QB since since Burris did it in 2000.
OTTAWA 44, Edmonton 15 (22843) - Kerry Joseph threw for a club-record 426 yards with three TDs and ran for three TDs to lead the Renegades to their best start. The last time the Eskimos started 0-3 was 1965.
SATURDAY JULY 3
Montreal 19, TORONTO 9 (23923) - Rookie Ezra Landry returned a missed FG 110 yards for the TD to give Montreal a hard-fought  win. Landry took Noel Prefontaine's short 49-yarder the other way to break a 9-9 tie in the third.
SUNDAY JULY 4
Hamilton 41, CALGARY 34 (26884) - Danny McManus didn't panic when the Stampeders battled back from a 25-point deficit to tie his Tiger-Cats. He engineered a seven-play, 66-yard TD drive early in the final frame.

MONTREAL 46, Ottawa 22 (20202) - CFL rookie Autry Denson scored four TDs as the Alouettes remained undefeated. Denson scored three times on short runs and also caught a 15-yard TD pass from Anthony Calvillo.
Edmonton 25, BRIT COLUMBIA 9 (22227) - QB Jason Maas threw a pair of TD passes, RB Mike Pringle broke out of a slump with 137 yards and the hard-luck Edmonton defence kept the Lions out of the end zone.
SATURDAY JULY 10
Toronto 34, HAMILTON 6 (27664) - Damon Allen threw two TD passes and ran for another while Toronto's defence forced six turnovers as the Argos handed the upstart Tiger-Cats their first loss of the season.

Winnipeg 29, OTTAWA 1 (21411) - Keith Stokes' 81-yard punt return was the highlight as the Bombers beat up on the Renegades to avenge a season-opening loss. Ottawa had its seven-game home win streak stopped.
Toronto 17, SASKATCHEWAN 12 (22340) - Robert Baker had a pair of TDs, but it was Toronto's defence that shone brightest, as it held the opposition without a touchdown for the third straight game.

British Col 48, WINNIPEG 17 (25567) - Lions QB Casey Printers completed 24 of 33 passes for 353 yards and four TDs. Bombers WR Milt Stegall caught his 574th reception, surpassing the team record held by James Murphy.

Montreal 34, HAMILTON 13 (26301) - The Alouettes intercepted Hamilton quarterback Danny McManus six times and held the Ticats scoreless in the second half to remain perfect after six games.

BRIT COLUMBIA 31, Toronto 10 (29484) - Antonio Warren rushed for 120 yards and helped Casey Printers get into position to toss three TD passes and run in another as B.C. extended its winning streak to six games.

Edmonton 25, CALGARY 7 (35651) - The Eskimos built up a commanding 19-0 first half lead and held on, as Malcolm Frank picked off a Tommy Jones pass and ran it back 56 yards for a TD, his third such return for this season.
HAMILTON 30, Toronto 30 (T) (29170) - Michael Bishop's one-yard TD run in OT earned the Argos the tie, tarnishing Troy Davis' Hamilton-record 233-yard rushing performance. The game featured four ejections and 37 penalties.

BRIT COLUMBIA 36, Edmonton 33 (OT) (29704) - The Lions needed a 34-yard Duncan O'Mahony FG in overtime to win, while Edmonton RB Mike Pringle broke George Reed's all-time rushing record of 16,116 yards.

HAMILTON 20, Ottawa 17 (29220) - Hamilton's Jamie Boreham nailed two OT FGs from 42 and 29 yards as the Ti-Cats clinched a playoff berth. Brian Holmes hit a 16-yarder to give Ottawa a 17-14 lead with its first OT drive.

CALGARY 29, Toronto 11 (30082) - Khari Jones paid immediate dividends for the Stampeders. He threw his first two completed passes for first downs and his third for a TD in his first start for Calgary, which upset the Argos.

British Col 32, MONTREAL 29 (20202) - Veteran Dave Dickenson came off the bench, after starter Casey Printers was hurt, to hit Chris Brazzell for a TD pass with 47 seconds to play as the Lions clinched first place in the West.
SASKATCHEWAN 40, Edmonton 16 (30087) - Saskatchewan clinched a playoff berth as they led 31-2 after the first half and 40-2 after the third quarter as both teams battled a stiff wind chill that made it feel like 8 degrees C.

BRIT COL 19, Calgary 17 (27295) - Duncan O'Mahony kicked a 28-yard FG with nine seconds left as the Lions won. On the final play, Calgary completed a pass, then tried to punt the ball. The officials called Calgary for no yards.

Hamilton 24, OTTAWA 19 (25839) - Craig Yeast returned a missed FG attempt by Demitris Scouras for a 123-yard TD, while RB Troy Davis broke Jimmy Edwards' 1977 mark of 1,581 rushing yards, as Hamilton won.
BRIT COL 40, Saskatchewan 38 (32402) - Lions backup QB Spergon Wynn threw a 13-yard TD to Geroy Simon in the final seconds, ending the Riders hopes of hosting their first CFL playoff game in 16 years.

Nov 5 - TORONTO (10-7-1) 24, Hamilton (9-8-1) 6 (37835) - Kenny Wheaton  returned an interception a playoff-record 116 yards for a TD with 2:24 to go, to clinch the win. Toronto lost its bid for its first playoff shutout since 1947 when Marcus Brady hit Morreale on a three-yard TD pass as time expired.
Nov 7 - Saskatchewan (9-9) 14, EDMONTON (9-9) 6 (37359) - Taking advantage of two Eskimos questionable plays that backfired, the Riders knocked off the defending Grey Cup champions. Eskimos receiver Ed Hervey hauled in 13 passes for 155 yards on the snow-covered field.

DIVISION FINALS
Nov 14 - Toronto (11-7-1) 26, MONTREAL (14-4) 18 (51296) - The Argonauts knocked QB Anthony Calvillo out of the game early in the second half and picked off back-up Ted White three times in the upset and reached the championship game for the first time since 1997. Toronto's Arland Bruce returned a kickoff 97 yards for a TD and caught a TD pass from Damon Allen.
Nov 14 - BRIT COL (13-5) 27, Saskatchewan (10-9) 25 (OT) (55527) - Duncan O'Mahony hit a 47-yard FG with just six seconds left in regulation time to tie the game at 24, then won it was a 40-yard kick in overtime as the Lions won. Henry Burris passed for 416 yards and three TDs for the Riders.


2004 Grey Cup (November 21 at Ottawa - 51242)
TORONTO ARGONAUTS (12-7-1) 26, B. COLUMBIA LIONS (14-5) 19 - Damon Allen ran for two TDs and passed for another to lead the Argonauts to a Grey Cup title. Allen, a 20-year veteran and the CFL's all-time leading passer, was named the game's outstanding player. It was Allen's fourth career Grey Cup victory, which includes a win in 2000 when he played for the Lions. The two touchdowns he scored gave him a total of six in his career in Grey Cup games, breaking the old record of five held by Brian Kelly and Hal Patterson. Allen led a team that was bankrupt and taken over by the league a year ago to its CFL-leading 15th Grey Cup championship with upset wins in the East Division final over Montreal and in the final against the favoured Lions. WR Robert Baker, had six receptions for 101 yards including a 23-yard TD catch
