Zajdel was selected by Toronto in the 1990 supplementary draft. He played just two games for the Argos, recording an interception, before being released in July of 1990 and signed by Hamilton in August. Zajdel finished the 1990 season with Hamilton and played with the Tiger-Cats in 1991 and 1992, mainly on special teams. Zajdel recorded 20 special teams tackles in 1991 and 24 in 1992. Zajdel was released in June of 1993, before the season started, and signed with Toronto in August. Zajdel was released for the second time by Toronto after playing two games.
