Coming out of Notre Dame, John Yonakor was a first round draft pick (9th overall) by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 1945 NFL college draft. Yonaker played in the NFL for Cleveland (1946-49) and then New York Yankes (1950) before joinging the Montreal Alouettes for 12 games in 1951. Yonaker returned to the NFL in 1952 and played one season for the Washington Redskins. John Yonakor passed away on April 18, 2001.
