Chris Wright was a speedy running back who saw action mainly as a kick returner. Wright signed with the CFL's Baltimore Stallions in April of 1995. In his rookie season, Wright has over 2000 yards in kick returns and returned three punts for touchdowns. Wright was named the Outstanding Rookie in the South Division for his play in 1995, as well as winning South and CFL All-Star honours as a kick returner. Wright was with Baltimore when they won the Grey Cup in 1995 and contributed an 82 yard punt return for a touchdown. Wright moved to Montreal when the Baltimore team relocated after the 1995 season, but missed all of 1996 with a serious knee injurty on the first day of training camp. Wright worked hard to recover from his injured and returned to play for Montreal in 1997 and and 1998. He added two more punt returns for touchdowns in 1997. Wright was released by Montreal prior to the 1999 season. Wright returned to the CFL in 2002 when he signed as a free agent with the BC Lions. The Lions released Wright in April of 2003.
