Pat Woodcock was one of the fastest Canadian born receivers in the CFL. While Woodcock didn't pile up as many receptions as other receivers, he put up good numbers on the avaerage yards per catch, twice finishing with over 20 yards per catch averages. Pat Woodcock was a second round draft pick of the Montreal Alouettes in the 2001 CFL College Draft. Woodcock played in just two games in his rookie season, seeing action as a kick returner for the Als. Woodcock had his best season offensively in 2002 with 35 caches for 838 yards and an impressive 23.9 yard average. Impressive enough tgo get Woodcock a tryout iwth the Washington Redskins of the NFL in 2003. After his release by the Redskins, Woodcock returned to the Alouettes to finish the 2004 season, and had 22 catches in 7 games. Woodcock signed as a free agent with the Ottawa Renegades where he played two seasons (2005-06). When the Renegades folded, Woodcock was seleted by Edmonton in the dispersal draft and unfortunately had an injury filled season, playing just three games. Woodcock signed with Hamilton for the 2008 season as a free agent and had 21 catches for 353 yards and an 18.8 yard average in what turned out to be his final season. Wodcock played in two Grey Cup games while with Montreal, losign in 2002 and picking up a ring in 2003. In the 2002 game, Woodlcock caught a 99 yard touchdown pass for a touchdown from Anthony Calvillo.
