Williams was drafted in the ninth round of the 1990 supplemental NFL draft by the Phoenix Cardinals. Williams played 3 seasons in Phoenix and then signed with the Amsterdam Admirals of the WLAF (later NFL Europe) in 1996. Willimas signed as a free agent with Toronto in May of 1997.
