From Boston College, George White joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2000. It was agreat rookie season for White as he had 105 defensive tackles and added 22 more on special teams. White was named to both the West and CFL All-Star teams and was also named the top rookie in the West and runner-up in the CFL. White had another big season in 2001, nearly matching his defensive tackle total with 104 with 24 special t eams tackles to earn a second West All-Star at linebacker. White's numbers and play caught the attention of the NFL and White signed as afree agent with the Green Bay Packers for the 2002 season. After his release by the Packers, White returned to play 5 games with the Riders at the end of the season. White left the Riders as a free agent for the Calgary Stampeders. White put in three solid seasons with Calgary from 2003 to 2005 with his best season coming in 2003 when he set a new personal high with 116 defensive tackles to earn his third West All-Star at linebacker.White started the 2006 season with Calgary, but finished the seasons w ith the BC Lions. White finished his career with 17 quarterback sacks, 6 interceptions and 6 fumble recoveries. Whtie returned two of those interceptions for touchdowns in 2004 and 2005.
