From the University of Nebraska, the big six foot five offensive end was drafted both by Denver of the AFl (second round) and the New York Giants of the NFL (fifth round) in 1966. White played four seasons for the Giants (1966-69) at both tight end and on defence at linebacker. In his final season in New York, White had 29 catches for 315 yards. White joined the Ottawa Rough Riders for seven games in 1970 and had 7catches.
