Glen Weir was a fixture on the Montreal deensive line for 13 seasons from 1972 to 1984. In those 13 seasons, Weir missed an amazing total of only t hree games. Weir won six East All-Stars at defensive tackle (1975-79 inclusive and 1982) as well as t wo CFL All-Stars (1975 and 1977). 1977 was probably Weir's best season. Besides the all-star selections, Weir was Montreal's nomineed for Outstanding Canadian and Outstanding Defensive Player. Weir ended up being named the top defensive player in the East and runner-up for the CFL award. Quarterback sack stats were only kept for 4 of Weir's 13 seasons, so officially he has 22 career totals sacks, but the reality is he had a lot more than that.
