Born in Rhein, Saskatchewan, and one of Saskatchewan's best kept secrets. Weinmeister played six years in the AAFC and NFL (1948-1953) with four pro-bowl selections and is a member of the NFL hall of fame. Weinmeister returned home to Canada to play his last two years with the BC Lions in their first two years (1954-55). Weinmeister played running back, and tackle at Washington (university), offensive and defensive tackle for the New York Yankees of the AAFC and defensive tackle for the New York Giants of the NFL.
