Coming out of Arkansas, Gavin Walls had a tryout with the Minnesota Vikings in 2003, an played 2004 in NFL Europe with the Scottish Claymore. Walls signed as a free agent with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for 2005, and was named the Outstanding Rookie in the CFL. Walls played five seasons for the Blue Bombers (2005-09), winning three East All-Stars at defensive tackle (2005, 2006 and 2008). Walls was traded to Montreal prior to the start of the 2010 season for Dave Van Sichem. Walls ended up not playing a game for the Als in 2010 as he spent the entire season on the injury list. Walls always put good pressure on opposing quarterbacks, recording 47 career quarterback sacks. Walls also scored three career touchdowns, two on fumble returns and one on n interception return for 69 yards in his rookie season.
