Paul Vjda was bornin Montreal and played his university football for Concordia. Vajda was drafted in the first round (fifth overall) of the 1991 CFL college draft by the Saskatchewan Roughriders. An offensive guard, Vajda would go on to play 6 seasons with the Riders from 1991 to 1996.
