Vern Uecker won a football scholarship to play at Texas Christian University. Uecker helped the Horned Frogs win two Southwest conference titles and played in two Cotton Bowls in 1956 and 1957. Uecker played one year in the CFL with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1957.
Vern Uecker passed away on February 5, 2014.
