Ted Tully

Ted Tully played 13 years in the CFL from 1950 to 1962, all but one of them with the Edmonton Eskimos. Tully played junior football with the Vancouver Meralonas and joined Edmonton in 1950. Tully spent 1959 with the BC Lions, but other than that he wore green and gold for the rest of his career. With the Eskimos, Tully won three consecutive Grey Cups from 1954 to 1956.

Tully played mainly linebacker, where he won four West All-Stars in consecutive seasons from 1955 to 1958 (ther were no CFL All-Stars until 1962). Tully also played guard on offence, backed up at receiver, did kickoffs, returned kicks and even filled in as a place kicker when needed. Tully piled up an impressive 21 career interceptions and added 11 fumble recoveries during his career.

Ted Tully passed away on January 24, 2003.
