Born in Guelph, Bill Tonegusso played two years with the Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen (1954-55) before joining the Alouettes for one season in 1956. Tonegusso went to the Grey Cup with the Als in 1956, but came out on the losing end to the Edmonton Eskimos.
