Dave (Baldy) Tomlinson has a history similar to that of his buddy Jim Mitchener. They both played for the Calgary Stampeders when they won the Grey Cup in 1948, both returned to school to play college ball at McGill tor three years (1949-51), and then both joined the Montreal Alouettes in 1952. Tomlinson played two years on the line with the Als (1952-53) before going back to rejoin the Stampeders for one final season in 1954. Tomlinson was a West All-Star in 1948 with Calgary (there were no CFL All-Stars until 1962). Dave Tomlinson passed away on November 10,2005. Tomlinson Signs With Alouettes - July 22, 1952
