Jeff Tedford played college ball first at Cemlos Junior College and then at Fresno State. Jeff Tedford signed as a free agent witht into Hamilton in February of 1983 and would spend three seasons (1983-85) as a backup quarterback with the Tiger-Cats. Tedford signed as a free agent with Calgary for 1986 and dressed in all 18 games for the Stampeders, again as a backup quarterback. Calgary released Tedford in June, 1987, just prior to the start of the season. Saskatchewansigned Tedford in September, 1987 and he dressed in three games for the Riders. Tedford finished his CFL playing career in 1988 with Winnipeg dressing for just one game. In 1989, the year after his retirement as a player, Tedford started his coaching career as an assistant coach in Calgary under Wally Buono. Tedford spent three years (1989-91) with Calgary before becoming the head coach of theUniversity ofCalifornia for eleven years where he holds several team coaching records including games coached, wins andbowl games won. Tedford wasset to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the offensive coordinator in 2014, but healh issues in pre-season caused him to leave the team. Tedford was named the head coach of the BC Lions in December, 2014, takigover fromMike Benevedes and reuniting with Lions gM Wally Buono.. Tedford hired as B.C. Lions Head Coach
