Reggie Taylor

Taylor was an 11th round draft pick of the Tampa Bay Buccanears in the 1987 NFL draft. Taylor signed as a free agent with BC in April, 1988 and ran up 428 yards in just 7 games.  BC traded Taylor to Edmonton along with LB Jeff Braswell, LB Greg Stumon, DB Andre Francis and a first round draft pick (which turned out to be Leroy Blugh) to complete a previous trade for QB Matt Dunnigan.  Taylor ran for 1503 yards in 1989 to lead the CFL in rushing while winning both Western and All-Canadian All Star Honours.  In 1990, Taylor played only12 games due to injuries and ran for 662 yards which still gave him a Western All-Star.  In 1991, Taylor had his second 1000+ season rushing as he ran for 1293 yards.  Despite that, Taylor was released by Edmonton in December of 1991.  One of the most notable stats for Taylor's brief four year career is his average carry was an excellent 6.4 yards.
