Bill StevensonOne of the best offensive linemen to play in the CFL. Stevenson started his career as a defensive lineman with Drake University and then went on to play for a year and a half in the defunct WLAF with Memphis before joining Edmonton near the end of the 1975 season. Stevenson was part of the feared Albert Crude defensive line until his conversion to offense in 1978. Stevenson won Western All-Star honours three times in 1978, 1979 and 1981 and was All Canadian in two of those years (78 and 81). Stevenson played on a record setting 7 Grey Cup winners, including the unmatched five in a row. Success on the field didn't translate into success off the field for the big offensive lineman and he died in a tragic accident on March 18, 2007.
