Alouettes bring Walter Spencer back home
Spencer (5'10", 217 lbs.) is best known for his outstanding contributions on special teams and recently moved into fourth place on the CFL's career all-time list for special teams tackles with 166. In 2011, he led the Alouettes with 19 special teams tackles, good for sixth in the league that year. The 34-year-old rejoins Montreal after making three Grey Cup appearances during his five seasons with the Alouettes, winning back-to-back championships in 2009 and in 2010. A veteran of eight CFL seasons, he has played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Calgary Stampeders and, most recently, the Toronto Argonauts with whom he won the CFL's 100th Grey Cup last November.
