From Purdue University, Kory Sheets rushed for 1277 yards in his first season in the CFL, good enough for second in the league in rushing. That would normally have earned Sheets a divisional or even CFL All-Star, but Sheets unfortunately picked a bad year to start his CFL career. Jon Cornish led the league in rushing and BCs Andrew Harris broke Normie Kwong's record for most yards from scrimmage by a Canadian and with both playing in the West, Sheets ended up being shut out of an the All-Star selections. In 2013, Sheets got off to the hottest start of any running back in CFL history, setting a record for t he fastest man to reach 1000 yards, doing it in only eight games.
