Bob Sarvis was Canadian, but attenteded Tennessee Teacher's College (now called Middle Tennessee) and graduated in 1941. Sarvis joined the RCAF the day after Pearl Harbour (December 7, 1941). Sarvis played in 1942 for the Toronto RCAF Hurricanes, winning the Grey Cup. Sarvis was attached to the U.S. Air Force in Europe, flying Lancaster Bombers. Sarvis flew his first mission on D-Day, June 6, 1944. sARVIS was one of seven members of the 1942 Grey Cup winning team who was killed in action during World War II.
