Tobin Rote
Tobin Rote was a starting quarteback in the NFL from 1950 to 1959 with the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions. In 1960, he was lured north to Canada to play for the Argos. Rote's initial season in the CFL was a masterful one as he 55.6% of 450 pass atteimpts for 4247 yards and 38 touchdowns. The next two years were not quite as successful, but Rote 3093 yards in 1961 and 2532 yards in 1962. After 1962, Rote returned to the States to join the San Diego Chargers of the new AFL.
