Born in Atlanta, Randy Rhino went to Georgia Tech and then played one year in the WFL with the Charlotte Hornets before coming to the CFL. Rhino played six seasons in the CFL (1976-81), five with Montreal and his final season in Ottawa. In those six seasons, Rhino won three East All-Stars at deensive back (1977, 1978 and 1981) and three CFL All-Stars in the same seasons. Rhino finished with 20 career interceptions, including a single season high of 7 in 1977 which was good for second best in the East. Rhino also had three fumble recoveries, including one that he took 97 yards for a touchdown in his final season. Besudes playing defensive back, Rhino was a top notch kick returner, mainly on punts.
