Purdanesh attended the Cleveland Browns training camp in 1993. He signed with Baltimore in March of 1994 and had an outstanding rookie season, being named to the East and CFL All-Star teams as well as being named the Outstanding Offensive Lineman in the CFL. In 1995, he was as South All-Star. After the folding of the U.S. based teams, after the 1995 season, Pourdanesh becamea free agent.
