Frank Pomarico

A native of Brooklyn, NY, Pomarico played college ball for the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.  Pomarico became a starter for the Irish in his second year in 1971 and was a co-captain in his final year in 1973.  Pomarico joined the Montreal Alouettes and played three games in 1975 and 6 games in 1976 at offensive guard.  Two games into the 1977 season, Pomarico joined the Ottawa Rough Riders and became a regular for the East Riders, playing the remaining 14 games and then all 16 in 1978. With Ottawa, Pomarico was reunited with his colleg QB from Notre Dame, Tom Clements.  After retiring, Pomarico has works in sales in Jackson Michigan and assited with coaching a local high school team.  Pomarico's son Tony apparently picked up some football genes and wnt to Michigan where he is (in 2009) a long snapper and tigh end .
