Cornel Piper

After getting his football training with the Winnipe Rods (Jr.), Cornel Piper moved up to the big team, and played eleven years with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 1957 to 1967.  Piper won a pair of West All-Star selections at offensiv eguard in 1960 and 1961. While the Bombers might have lost the Grey Cup in Piper's rookie year, the lineman was with Winnipeg when they won four Grey Cups in the next five years (1958, 1959, 1961 and 1962).
