Tim Petros

Petros is probalby one of the better fifth round raft picks to play in the CFL.  Selected 42nd overall by Calgary in the 1984 college draft, Petros had perhaps a typical rookies season for a rookie Canadian running back.  He saw only moderate action with 22 carries for 71 yards and had 10 catches of another 83 yards.  In his sophmore year, Petros dressed in 16 games, but saw almost zero playing time on offense as had one carr and zero pass receptions.  Things looked a little bleak for Petros's career at that point, but over the next three years, he saw his touches on offense increase steadily until his peak season in 1988 when he had 161 carries for 737 yards and caught 49 passes for another 304 yards.Petros added another 605 yards in rushing on 133 carries in 1989 before ending his career in 1990.  Petros finished his career with 2228 yards rushing.
