Doug Peterson was a touch homebrew defensive tackle out of Simon Fraser University. Peterson was drafted in the second round of the 1992 CFL College Draft by the BC Lions. Peterson played two seasons with the Lions (1994-95), mainly as a backup on the defensive line. Peterson did record six sacks in his second year with the Lions and that attracted interest when he became a free agent after the 1995 season. Peterson signed wih the Montreal Alouettes where he would spend three seasons, winn two East All-Stars at defensive tackle in 1997 and 1998. A free agent again after the 1998 season, Pet erson signed with the Edmonton Eskimos. Peterson finished his career in Edmonton, playing another four seasons from 1999 to 2002. Peterson won two more division all-stars (1999 and 2001) to bring his total to 4 - two East and two West. Peterson recorded a total of 36 quarterback sacks, 10 fumble recoveries and 1 pass interception in his career.
