From Youngstown State, Jeff Patterson signed as a free agent with the Montreal Concordes* prior to the 1983 season. Patterson had a decent season as a wide reeceiver with 43 catches in his rookie season and had a very good punt return average of 13.6 yards per return. Patterson played two more seasons in Montreal, but injuries limited him to just 19 games total in tohse two seasons. Patterson finished his CFL career with Saskatchewan in 1986, playing in just three games. * the Alouettes opereated under the name Concordes for a few seasons in the 1980s.
