Parker had a tryout with the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL as a free agent before signing with the Memphis Showboats in 1984. After his release by Memphis, Parker was signed by the BC Lions in 1986 and he spent four season with the Leos. Parker's best season was 1988 when he rusehd for 851 yards and caught 39 passes for another 429 yards to earn Western All-Star status.
