Peter Paquette

Peter Paquette was known to his teammates as "the Mad Canadian."  After playing his college football at Iowa, Paquette joined the CFL and the Montreal Alouettes in 1968.  Paquette played two seasons for the Als (1968-69), and then after not playing in 1970, played three seasons with the Toronto Argonauts (1971-73).  Paquette was a defensive back and punt returner.  His best season as a punt returner came in 1971 when he was third in the East in punt return yards and his best season as a defensive back was 1972 when he recorded four interceptions.  Among other things since leaving football, Paquette has been involved in raising money for charity as part of a softball team made up of former CFL players.
