It took Bill Norton a while to find a home in the CFL in his rookie season in 1976. After being a teritorial exemption pick of the BC Lions in the CFL college draft after playing at Wbber State. Norton would play four games with Hamlton and one with Calgary before settling in at Toronto. The offensive lineman would remain with the Toronto Argonauts through the 1980 season before moving on o the Montreal Alouettes when he was traded for Doug Smith . Norton played two seasons with Montreal (1981-82) and earned an East All-Star in 1981. Norton returned to Toronto finish his career in 1983.
