Mustafah (Steve) Mohammad

Out of Fresno State, Mustafah muhamma signed as a free agent with the BC Lions and had a marvelous rookie season with 10 interceptions and three fumble recoveries. The ten interceptions was a record for a rookie and Muhammad was named the Outstanding Rookie in the CFL for 1998. Muhammad's success with BC prompted the interest of the Indianapolis Colts and he signed as a free agent with them. Muhammad played two seasons with Indianapolois (1999-2000).

Muhammad ran into some legal problems in 1999. Muhammad's wife Nicole died when she was five nonths pregnant.  It came out that Muhammed had been charged with domestic battery ten days before. It was found in court, however, that his wife died of injuries sustained in a car aaccident and not from the battery. Muhamm was found guilty of the batgtery and given a one year suspended sentence.

Muhammad returned briefly to the CFL in 2002 with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
