Tommy Moran played one year with the woeful Brantford Redskins of the ORFU in 1952 before moving to the Montreal Alouettes in 1953. Moran would go on to play for the Als until partway through the 1961 season and finished his career with Hamilton that season. Moran played both offensive end and linebacker. As a defensive player, Moran recorded 9 career interceptions, including 5 in 1956. Moran saw limited action as an offensive end which is not surprising considering the Als of that era had two of the best pass catchers of all-time in Hal Patterson and Red O'Quinn. Moran's best year came in 1958 when he recorded a career high 19 receptions. Moran was with the Alouettes for the three consecutive trips to the Grey Cup in 1954 to 1956, though unfortunately for he Als and Moran they lost in all three games to Edmonton. Tom Moran passed away on April 8, 2013.
