Miller was one of three rookie quarterbacks the Ottawa Renegades brought in for 2003, but it was Kerry Joseph who ended up getting the #1 job. Miller got a bit of work as a backup, and then was traded to the Calgary Stampeders prior to the 2004 season. It was a big trade with Miller going to Calgary along with linebacker John Grace, ofensive tackle Seth Dittman and defensive end Fred Perry for defensive end Kai Ellis, defensive back Anthony Malbrough, kicker Sandro Scortino, defenstive tackle Jerry JOhnson and a second round draft pick. Miller ended up being released by Calgary and then signed with Toronto where he performed in a backup role for 2004.
