Louis Mackey attended the University of Akron and spent two seasons (2001-2002) with the Dallas Cowboys, dressing for 16 games. Mackay signed as a free agent with Montreal in May, 2006. Mackey dressed for ten games, starting in four for the Alouettes in 2006. Mackey also dressed for the East Semi-Final and the 2006 Grey Cup which the Alouettes lost to BC. Mackey was initially released by Monrreal in 2007, but was was recalled when Kai Ellis was injured and played 6 games.
