Bashir Levingston started his college career at Utah State and played his senior year at Eastern Washington. the speedy Levingston was signed by the New York Giants of the NFL in 1999 and spent two seasons with them before being allocated to Amsterdam in NFL Europe. Levingston was named to the All-Europe team in 2000. Levingston originally signed with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2001, but was released before the regular season started. The Argonauts picked up Levingston in 2002, and he would go on to play six seasons (2002-07) with the double blue. Levingston had a brief tryout with the Miami Dolphins in 2003, but returned to the Argos. The Argos released Levingston partway through the 2007 season, and he signed in November with the Montreal Alouettes, playing one playoff game for the Larks. Levingston saw some action at defensive back and wide receiver, but was mainly a kick return specialist. Levingston won two East All-Stars at special teams in 2003 and 2004, and one CFL All-Star in 2003. Levingston was also named the Outstandng Special Teams Player in the CFL in 2003. Levingston has 13 kick returns for touchdowns, 8 on punt returns, 4 on missed field goals and one on a kickoff.
