Ken Lehman was one of the toughest andbest linebackers of the 1960s. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Lehmann played his college football at Xavier Univerfsity before joining the Ottawa Rough Riders. Lelhmann had a 9 year CFL career from 1964 to 1972, the first 8 with Ottawa and finishing with two games for BC in his final season. Lehmann won 5 East All-Stars in consecutive seasons from 1965 to 1969 and 4 CFL All-Stars in the same span, missing only in 1967. In 1968, Lehmann was named the Outstanding Lineman in the CFL. Fewer defensive stats were kept in those years, so we have no defensive tackle or quarterback stats for Lehmann, but he did record 18 career interceptions and 6 career fumble recoveries. Two of Lehman's interceptions ere returned for touchdowns. Lehmann was a big part of the Ottawa defence that took the team to three Grey Cups in his career. Lehman and the Rough Riders lost to Saskatchewan in 1966, but then won back to back Grey Cups in 1968 and 1969. Ken Lehman was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
