Andy Leccese played junior football with the N.D.G. Maple Leafs in Montreal. Leccese then went on to play for Windsor and Sarnia in the ORFU (Ontario Rugby Football Union) before joining the Montreal Alouettes in 1952. Following his year with the Alouettes, Leccese continued to play football in the QRFU and ORFU at  the senior level.
