Hal Krebs was born in Edmonton and played in the ORFU for two seasons, with Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen in 1955 and the London Lords in 1956. Krebs moved up to Edmonton in 1956, playing 9 games for the Eskimos. After playing one game with the Tiger-Cats in 1957, Krebs signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in September. Krebs played two games for the tabbies in their Grey Cup winning season. Krebs started the 1958 season with Hamilton, but was traded to Montreal before playing any regular season games for the tabbies. Krebs would play four seasons w ith the Alouettes (1958-61) before returning West to play for he Calgary. Krebs was traded to the Stampeders for Don Carruthers. Krebs played six seasons from 1962 to 1967. Krebs planned to retire after the 1966 season, but rejoined the Stemps for 1967 until a back injury finished his career.
