Dave Kocourek attended the University of Wisconcin and was drafted in the 19th round of the 1959 NFL draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Kocourek played one season with the Winnipeg Blue bombers in 1959, being used at both offensive and defensive end. Kocourek returned to the U.S. in 1960 with the formation of the AFL. Kocourek would go on to hav e a pretty decent nine year career in the AFL from 1960 to 1968 with the Los Angelas / Sandiego Chargers, Miami and Oakland. Kocourek recorded a total of 249 receptions and 4090 yards in his AFL career.
Dave Kocourek passed away on April 24, 2013.
