After playing at the University of Kentucky, Don King served in the United States Marines. King was drafted by the Cleveland Browns and played for them on their 1954 championship team. King played one season for the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1955. King returned to the NFL to play for the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles in 1956 and then with the Denver Broncos in their first season in 1960. King went on to coach the Savannah Indians, a semi-pro team. King worked as a U.S. Depury Federal Marshal from 1970 to 1991. Don King passed away on April 15, 2014. Obituary for Donald William King
