Kennedy orignally signed with Calgary in April of 2002 and dressed for all 18 games in his rookie season, but did not see much action. Kennedy ws traded to Ottawa for a player on thei rnegotiation list for the start of 2003, but returned to Calgary to finish the 2003 season. Kennedy returned to Ottawa for two seasons(2004 - 2005), seeing his most action in 204 whith 131 pass attempts as he filled in for the injured Kerry Joseph. After his release by Ottawa, Kennedy joined Toronto for 4 games in 2006 when they had injury problems, but did not appear in any games.
