Jones signed as a free agent with Saskatchewan in September of 1999. He had an impressive try-out with the Riders, catching 38 passes in just 8 games. It was good enough to earn him a shot with San Diego of the NFL who signed him as a free agent. Jones returned to the CFL in 2002 with Ottawa. He signed in September and played 6 games with 18 catches before being released in October. Ottawa signed Jones again for the 2003 season and he deliver 24 receptions in just 6 before being released in July and signed by Winnipeg in September. Jones returned to the Bombers in 2004 and had 27 catches in 9 games.
