Tony January was a running back out of Sam Houston State. Undrafted by the NFL, January joined the Montreal Alouettes for two games in 1983. January spent some time with the Houston Gamblers of the USFL before returning to the CFL in 1985 with the Ottawa Rough Riders. The Riders had a very pas orientated ofence and used January as aslotback.
