Mark Jackson

Jackson joined the Montreal Alouttes in 1977, playing 8 games as a backup QB.  He didn't play in 1978, but returned to the CFL with Toronto in 1979, again seeing limited playing time as a backup.  Jackson's big year came in 1980 when he took over the starting QB job in Toronto, throwing 404 passes for 3041 yards and respectable 57.1% completion rate.  Unfortunately for Jackson's career he was sent off to Winnipeg after the 1980 season.  It was unfortunate in that the Bombers had future HOF QB Dieter Brock and Jackson spent 1981 1982 in strictly a backup capacity. In Jackson's last year in 1983, Brock was  traded to Hamilton, but that brought another future HOF QB in Tom Clements to Winnipeg.  Jackson played only one game in that final season.
