Glen Jackson

Jackson is one of the best Canadian linebackers to play in the CFL. After playing his college ball at Simon Fraser, Jackson was a territorial exemption of BC in 1976 and played his entire 12 CFL career with BC from 1976 to 1987. Jackson was a six time Western All-Star (77, 78, 79, 82, 85 and 87*. Jackson's career predates many of the defensive statistics that are kept today. Quarterback sacks statistics were not kept until 1981, but despite missing stats for five season, Jackson is credited with 36 career sacks and his actual total would be nearly double that amount. Tackle statistics were only kept starting in 1987 which was Jackson's last year, so his official CFL total is 71. You can bet that if tackle stats had been kept for his entire career that Jackson would have been near the top in every season he played. Anywhere on the field where there was a tackled being made, you could be sure Glen Jackson was in on it or not far away. For the stattistics that were kept, Jackson recoreded both 23 fumble recoveries and 23 interceptions.  Jackson was named to the BC Lioins 50th anniversary all-time team and is also a member of the BC Wall of Fame.
