After playing college football with Washington, Stewart Hill signed as a free agent with the Edmonton Eskimos for the 1984 season. Hill had a major impact in his rookie season with 18 sacks, winning both West and CFL All-Stars and runner-up as the top rookie in the league. Hill would play seven seasons (1984-90) with Edmonton, winning West All-Stars again in 1987 and 1989. 1990 was HIll's best season as he won his fourth West All-Star and second CFL All-Star while being the runner-up as the Outstanding Defensive Player in the CFL. Hill was a free agent after the 1990 season and signed with the BC Lions where he he played two seasons and then finished his carerr with one season in Saskatchewan. Hill finished with 126 quarterback sacks, 5 interceptions (not bad for a defensive end!) and 12 fumble recoveries. One last surprising stat about the big devensive end is that he was also used as a tight end now and then. HIll had only 4 career catches, but all 4 of them went for touchdowns!.
